On the morning of September 4, the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (UCASS) held its 2024 Opening Ceremony at the Stadium of Liangxiang Campus. Party Secretary Cui Weihang presided over the ceremony, and President Zhang Zhengwen delivered a speech. Vice Presidents Wang Qiliang, Zhang Shuhui, You Liqian, and Gao Wenshu, as well as Assistant to the President Zhan Long, attended the event.

Distinguished guests included Zhang Yuyan, Member of the Academic Division of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Dean of the School of International Politics and Economics; Li Guoqiang, Dean of the School of History and Deputy Director of the Chinese Academy of History at CASS; Shuang Bao, Deputy Director of the Personnel Bureau at CASS; Zhang Bin, Deputy Director of the Administrative Bureau of Finance, Infrastructure Construction and Assets at CASS; Zhou Gongdai, Deputy Director of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Service; Gong Wen, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission and Deputy Director of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Library; and Zhou Dan, Deputy Dean of the School of Philosophy and Deputy Director of the Institute of Philosophy at CASS. Department heads, members of college leadership, faculty representatives, student representatives, and the new class of 2024 undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students attended the ceremony.
