Xiao Jianzhuang Attends China-Vietnam Higher Education and Innovation Forum

On April 14, Xiao Jianzhuang, President of Guangxi University, traveled to Beijing to attend the China-Vietnam Forum on Higher Education Cooperation and Scientific and Technological Innovation, co-hosted by Tsinghua University and Vietnam National University, Hanoi. To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a policy speech.

Yin Li, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee, and Qiu Yong, Secretary of the Party Committee of Tsinghua University, were present at the forum and addressed the attendees.

Ren Youqun, Vice Minister of Education of China; Hoang Minh Son, Minister of Education and Training of Vietnam; and Bui The Duy, President of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, delivered keynote speeches on higher education development and bilateral educational cooperation.

During the forum, on behalf of Guangxi University, Xiao Jianzhuang signed and exchanged inter-university cooperation agreements with Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Thuyloi University; Hanoi University of Civil Engineering; and Vietnam National University of Forestry, so as to further deepen cooperation in personnel training, scientific research collaboration, teacher and student exchanges and other fields.

At the sub-forum themed Artificial Intelligence and Digital Education: Technological Empowerment and Governance Cooperation, Xiao delivered a keynote speech entitled Deepening Education and Sci-Tech Cooperation to Jointly Build a China-Vietnam Community with a Shared Future. He comprehensively presented the successful practices and fruitful achievements of cooperation between Guangxi University and Vietnamese universities in advancing AI-empowered talent cultivation, joint scientific research, and platform co-construction.
