From March 1 to 6, 2026, Guangxi University sent a delegation to Singapore and Malaysia for a series of academic exchanges and institutional visits aimed at strengthening international engagement. The visit formed part of the university’s broader efforts to deepen global partnerships and enhance the quality and international profile of its education and research. Through participation in a major international forum, dialogue with leading universities, and discussions on future collaboration, the trip helped expand Guangxi University’s network of partners across ASEAN and opened new avenues for cooperation.
A highlight of the visit was the 10th Tan Chin Tuan Foundation–Nanyang Technological University Advanced Leadership Development Forum. Held under the theme “Technological Innovation and High-Quality Development:New Opportunities for Asian Universities,” the forum convened more than 60 scholars and experts from 22 prominent universities around the world, including Nanyang Technological University, Tsinghua University, and Sun Yat-sen University.
Representing Guangxi University, Professor Chen Zheng, Director of the university’s Institute of Scientific Research, delivered a keynote presentation titled “Technological Innovation Reshaping Education and Supporting High-Quality Regional Development.” Drawing on Guangxi University’s recent initiatives and experiences, he outlined how the university is integrating scientific research with educational reform to cultivate innovation-driven talent and support regional development. The presentation received positive feedback from participants and helped raise the university’s visibility and academic influence among partner institutions in ASEAN and the wider region.
